"Getting Creative in the Greeting Card Industry"
with Monique Straub

Over the years, Monique Straub has done quite a bit of research on this topic, and she will tailor her information for both the artist that would like to submit art to greeting card companies for mass publication, and the artist that would like to increase their card sales on the racks in our gallery.

About Monique Straub: "From as far back as I can remember, art has been a part of my life. By age ten I sculpted the hair on my pet poodle into high fashion, designed program covers and flyers for my elementary school events, painted stylistic murals of clouds and countryside on the walls and ceiling of my bedroom, and even my bicycle was "customized." I have always included some form of art in my daily life."

"With formal training in fine art photography, art history, illustration and painting under my belt, I decided to continue to work freely, unrestricted by the traditional rules and concepts of art making. Primarily painting in soft pastel, and occasionally in oil, acrylic and colored pencil, I enjoy painting daily. My "studio" works are inspired and created using my outdoor sketches and photographs as inspiration. Occasionally I paint on location. Since 2001, I have taken to painting full-time, and actively participate in juried art competitions, daily painting groups, and various community art activities."   Monique's website.
