Shinja Scheidnes – Shinja Scheidnes is a San Diegan since 1978, retired
school nurse, teacher, and counselor. Using watercolors and
delicate oriental brush strokes, she creates clean and peaceful paintings that
would grace any decor, especially those with an Asian theme. Her topics are flowers,
plants, people, and scenes from her worldwide traveling.

displaying her functional and non-functional handcrafted, craved & painted
gourds.

Judy
Hanford – Judy is a native of California living in the San
Diego area for most all her life. Her
interest in art has forever been part of her life. She started painting for her
own enjoyment expressing her interest in nature through animals, flowers and
plants. Her early work, in oil, was African wildlife portraits until she was
inspired by the flower paintings of Simon Bull. Currently, Judy paints in acrylics, oils, and pastels developing
her techniques and highlighting her talents in the use of color.

Carole Mathios (small Alcove Gallery) – Raised in
the pristine Cascade Mountains of Oregon, near Mt. Hood, nature was Carole’s
childhood playground. She will be
showing her watercolor and acrylic paintings based on her love of nature and
her travels in the United States.
